Deciding on which furniture to buy for the office can be a complex process. With so many options available in the market, one can spend hours looking for the perfect choice. During the search, they may come across something called 'green office furniture'. What is this, and why it would be better for your office?

As sustainable living came into importance, people became conscious about what they purchase and how it impacts the earth, resulting in the growing need for sustainable furniture. Green office furniture, are furniture that have minimal or no impact on the environment. The biggest benefit of this furniture category, is how it cuts down on the environmental footprint, reducing harm to nature. These furniture are also mostly recyclable, so when it reaches the end of its working lifespan, it can be recycled and be made into something new again. So for those conscious about helping the environment, would definitely see their needs fulfilled in them.

Green office furniture also improves the workers' working conditions, as these furniture are made with materials that have low chemical emissions. This is importance, since chemical emissions can be toxic and detrimental to workers' who work indoors in the office. A company needs to take care of the workers' wellfare, as they are the cogwheels that moves the organization. Having green office furniture would release such worries, as their addition would improve the air quality of the environment in which the furniture are used in, and in turn take care of the workers' health.

Other than the health and environmental benefits, the usage of green furniture can improve a company's image. In a survey taken by 2,000 office workers, 65% of them state that they will be more willing to work in a company with a strong environmental policy. Having sustainable furniture sends out a clear message to the workers that the company cares about the environment, and seeing their values inline together would motivate workers to work and remain in the company.

Overall, green office furniture poses benefits that can or cannot be seen by the naked eye. But just knowing that the place one is working in is playing a strong role in pushing for a better environmental, gives him a purpose that he must uphold. 

For the sake of protecting the planet we live in, we have to be mindful of what we choose.
